The F series is White's best-selling product line, ranging from the entry-level F250S to the top-of-the-line F10 high-speed 10-axis cutting machine, with over 12,000 units installed. These machines operate at high speed every day in tape factories across more than 70 countries worldwide, and it is on the real production lines of our users that we continuously discover pain points and refine our technology.
The following five core technologies define the performance benchmark of the F series today.
1. Micron-level positioning accuracy: ±0.03mm, from "adequate" to "precise"
For standard BOPP tape, an accuracy of ±0.1mm is sufficient. However, high-end materials such as electronic tape and optical films require stricter tolerances.
Technological breakthroughs:
Utilizing Japanese THK C0-grade ground lead screws (lead error ≤0.005mm/300mm), achieving a tenfold increase in precision compared to standard C7-grade rolled lead screws;
Paired withYaskawa Σ-7 full closed-loop servo system, featuring a 24-bit absolute encoder for real-time feedback of the knife holder position, eliminating lead screw backlash and thermal deformation drift;
Temperature rise compensation algorithm: A temperature sensor embedded in the lead screw nut allows the PLC to reverse compensate position commands based on the temperature rise-expansion curve. After continuous operation for 4 hours, the measured positioning error remains stable within ±0.03mm.
Customer value: The scrap rate of electronic tape has decreased from 2% to 0.4%, saving hundreds of thousands of yuan in material costs annually.
2. Multi-axis structural innovation: From single-axis to 10-axis, a leap in efficiency
Traditional cutting machines can only cut one roll at a time, leading to frequent roll changes and low efficiency. The F series has undergone revolutionary design in its axis structure.
Technological breakthroughs:
Dual-axis/three-axis structure (F150/F160/F3C): Multiple axes cut simultaneously, producing multiple rolls in one clamping, doubling output;
Rotating multi-axis structure (F4/F6S/F6C/F10): The working axis and standby axis can rotate interchangeably, achievingnon-stop axis switching. The F10 even reaches 10 axes with 5 knives, cutting 10 rolls at once, with an output of up to 10,000 rolls per hour;
Carbon fiber composite knife shaft: The carbon fiber knife shaft used in the F10 is 60% lighter than traditional steel, allowing for faster start-stop of the servo motor and reducing energy consumption by 15%.
Customer value: In large-scale production scenarios, single-machine efficiency has increased eightfold, and labor costs have decreased by 50%.
3. Intelligent material library and one-click switching: Enabling even unskilled workers
Tape factories frequently change orders, requiring adjustments to tension, speed, knife depth, and other parameters. Experienced workers rely on their expertise, while new employees often make mistakes.
Technological breakthroughs:
Built-inintelligent material library, presetting optimized parameters for 15 common materials (BOPP, masking tape, PET, double-sided tape, foam, etc.);
User-defined100 recipe storage, allowing special materials to be automatically saved after trial cuts in "learning mode";
One-click parameter switching: Operators can click on the material name on the PAD screen, and the device automatically adjusts all process parameters, reducing setup time from half an hour to 3 minutes.
Customer value: A tape factory in Yiwu changes orders 25 times a day, and the F series helps produce an additional 5 hours daily, while the training period for new employees has been reduced from 2 weeks to 1 day.
4. Multiple safety and easy-clean design: Protecting people and machines
During operation, the cutting machine's blades rotate at high speed, and debris can fly, posing safety hazards. Additionally, adhesive dust is difficult to clean, affecting hygiene and equipment lifespan.
Technological breakthroughs:
Fully enclosed protective cover + safety interlock: The machine stops immediately when any protective door is opened, complying with CE standards;
Rounded, seamless body: All surfaces feature rounded transitions with no exposed screws, combined with removable protective panels, reducing cleaning time by 40%;
Negative pressure dust suction interface: An optional dust suction device can be installed to promptly remove debris and adhesive powder, reducing workshop dust.
Customer value: After switching to the F series, a tape factory in Vietnam passed occupational safety inspections on the first attempt, and weekly cleaning hours for the equipment were reduced by 4 hours.
5. Material adaptability: From 0.5mm narrow strips to 400mm large rolls
The materials processed in tape factories are diverse, ranging from ultra-thin PET (thickness 12μm) to thick foam (10mm), from narrow strips (0.5mm) to oversized rolls (diameter 400mm).
Technological breakthroughs:
Minimum cutting width of 0.5mm (F330S/F400): High rigidity knife holders and precision lead screws ensure that narrow strips do not deviate or curl;
Maximum roll diameter of 400mm (F400): Reinforced spindle and heavy-duty body can accommodate oversized materials;
Compatible with various cutting shaft specifications: 1", 3", and 6" paper cores are all adaptable, with quick switching.
Customer value: One F series cutting machine can cover over 90% of the material specifications in a factory, eliminating the need to purchase additional equipment for special orders.
